I had no idea Bill! They taste really good even if their packaging/product might be a bit misleading. I'm a big fan of corn chips in general so maybe that's why I like it.

Boulder Canyon Rice and Adzuki Bean chips are just another chip that is misleading consumers by their product label. The chips contain primarily corn! Of course they pick and choose which ingredients they want to promote. In fact they say right on the bag that they may substitute black beans for Adzuki! Read the label. It is a corn chip masking as a bean chip.

I recently traveled on air france and found the gluten free meal very good-- the fish was fresh and tasted good--- not overly salty; you could actually taste it. the carrot salad with chicken was good...fresh, nutritious. And the apple raisin "thing" was a baked apple (not dehydrated) with raisins and honey. I don't know why people who have to eat gluten free feel they have to complain about food so much. Maybe because it is fresh and not sugared or salted down (usually) it doesn't appeal to the taste buds much. Leave it to the french to keep food honest, though. I applaud them!

We are so glad you love our NuGo Free Gluten Free Trail Mix bar and have tried the other flavors. We pride ourselves on making delicious, healthy snacks for all different lifestyles, in your case Gluten Free.

You also commented "It tasted good". This is because we use real dark chocolate. Other companies use chocolate flavored vegetable fat coatings that often taste overly sweet and waxy. Remember to check your labels in the future and you might be surprised to learn the reason behind your product not tasting very good.

I love these! I just found them in a small GF-friendly store in CT and need to find more back home. I tried the carrot cake and dark choc. trail mix flavors and the trail mix was definitely my favorite (not just the better of the two, it was, as you said, actually good!).

I love that it has pumpkin seeds and goji berries, just like the trail mix I used to eat before I went GFCF. I didn't notice any sugar high or crash from it, either -- I agree with your comment about the sweetness of Kind bars -- sometimes I use those as dessert. (try warming up the Almond-Coconut bar for a few seconds in the microwave!)

Good find!

Must read the onion rings post now... :)

Tried it -really nothing special. The cookie part is overly sweet with a gummy consistency and very mild chocolate flavor (too mild really). The vanilla ice-cream was was smooth and creamy, but weak on vanilla flavor.

I would have gone straight back to work as soon as I realized it. Your pics are mouth watering, sadly when I reviewed them @ my food allergy blog, I had already stuffed the goodies in my face. And I empathize with stocking up- you want to be sure to have plenty of snacks when not in the vicinity right?!

Enjoy!
